Jack was born and bred in London. More specifically, he hails from Fulham which is not far from Putney Bridge where the Oxford/Cambridge Boat Race begins. When he’s not helping with the design process, Jack dabbles in visiting art galleries, reading, sports, foreign/independent films, and spending time with family. With thirty plus years of experience, he draws inspiration from both past and present, blending bold and expressive artwork to reflect the environment so that the building can naturally become part of it.

Jack’s great grandfather was a Scotsman named ‘Hay’ who had a thick Glaswegian accent. He came down to London to seek his fortune and changed his name to Hayes, which is actually an Irish last name.
