Before moving from Michigan to Chicago, Ben spent most of his life in Lexington, Kentucky where he grew up and went on to attend the University of Kentucky, earning both his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Master of Architecture. Taking his Kentucky roots one step further, he notes that he was actually born during the running of the Kentucky Derby. “Strike the Gold won that year.”

With prior experience working with digital fabrication and advanced manufacturing, Ben finds himself inspired by the cross-influence of other disciplines including fashion, industrial, product and automotive design. Outside of architecture, Ben is an avid sports fan and likes spending time making furniture and art, keeping active outdoors, and spending time with family.

Ben has an aptitude for finding four-leaf clovers and has hundreds of them pressed throughout various books.
