SNHA’s 2019 Year in Review
2019 marked a year of noteworthy growth for SNHA. We saw an increased number of new projects in the United States and Europe, doubled our footprint with a new flagship office at Chicago’s One Prudential Plaza, and reached organizational milestones including passing our 100th employee.
By the Numbers
Accomplishments in the past year included breaking ground on 17 new projects, continuing work on 11 projects in progress, and completing 12 projects in the civic, education, and mission-critical spaces.
We supported these projects with organizational growth in the form of new talent acquired by both our Chicago and London offices, resulting in a 19% increase in the number of staff.
Giving Back and Moving Forward
On top of the impressive number of projects started and completed, members of our team took part in numerous philanthropic activities in support of Open Architecture Chicago, Refortify/Breakthrough, The Illinois Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (I-NOMA), and Canstruction Chicago.
Our associates also committed time to professional development programs including Women in Design + Construction and Greenbuild.
A New View
In 2019, we proudly debuted a new workspace. Our new 21,000-square-foot office in One Prudential Plaza features an open layout, breathtaking views of Chicago’s iconic landmarks, and several high-tech meeting spaces for employees. The minimal, industrial design fosters a sense of energy and inclusiveness.
Our new office was designed for and by our team to foster design excellence, encouraging us to create, learn and play while pulling inspiration from the dynamic cityscape surrounding us. From our new home base, we’re looking forward to 2020 and are excited to continue pushing the limits on our technological and architectural capabilities for data center and civic design.
