Lou Wright

Program Sustainability Lead | LEED AP BD+C, RA | Chicago, IL

Lou hails from Minneapolis but grew up in the vibrant city of Los Angeles and came to Chicago from New York in early 2020. When he’s not immersed in the world of architecture, you can find him plucking the strings of his upright bass or tapping the keys of his piano at lively bluegrass and old-time jam sessions in his neighborhood. Additionally, Lou finds joy in cooking and cherishes the moments shared with his loved ones including his terrier, Hank Williams. He also enjoys the serenity of fly fishing, even though he can boast catching only one fish so far.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies & Sustainable Design from The New School and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute, Lou’s educational background is as impressive as his artistic and musical pursuits. Lou’s journey as a professional began as a modelmaker, allowing him to gain hands-on experience and a deep appreciation for the tangible manifestation of designs. With a nuanced perspective and a steadfast commitment to sustainability, Lou finds himself driven by the opportunities that architecture provides to understand how the world works.
