Originally from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, Shruti was brought up in Dubai, U.A.E. before transferring to the United States and obtaining her B.Arch. from IIT. While living in Dubai, she was exposed to a diverse range of cultures and traditions, which when coupled with her interest in architecture and design, is what motivated her to pursue a degree in architecture. In her opinion, Shruti believes the connections she makes with others, and the knowledge she gains on aspects of different cultures are what inspire her to design better spaces and environments. In her free time, Shruti loves to dance, walk at the beach and park, listen to music, watch stand-up comedy, movie (especially Gujarati and Bollywood media), tv shows, explore the city, and spend time with family and friends. Shruti is proud of her heritage and is excited to see how she will grow as she continues to work in the field. Shruti has traveled to 20 countries.

Shruti is fluent in Gujarati, Hindi, and English, and intermediate in French, Spanish, and Arabic
